I hope you are well and that your lives are full of both thanks and giving.

 

Providing opportunities and uplifting communities are my WHY. I’ve received so much, and I want others to have access as well. 

 

Letting Everyone Achieve Dreams (LEAD) is a the nonprofit that is near and dear to my heart and to my family. I serve as the Executive Director, and my brother, OP, is on the Board. Of course, Mom is our number one volunteer:) 

 

While LEAD is precious to my family, it is so much more than a personal passion. The generosity, guidance, and support of awesome people like you and community partnerships allow LEAD to thrive. I am so thrilled that LEAD is partnering with both University of Houston and University of Houston - Clear Lake! The research and data they provide will further enhance our impact and allow us to improve our programming.  The educator, anthropologist, and sociologist in me loves ALL of this!

 

LEAD prepares youth for success by providing life skills and exposure to new experiences. We’ve expanded our reach; three years ago, we had 80 student LEADers, and now more than 300 youth and their families benefit from our empowering work. We connect with the community by:

Most recently, we held a drive-thru food distribution and fed 500 families with bare pantries. We’ve provided laptops and hotspots to families to help close the chasm of the great digital divide, and we are offering mental health support. LEAD changes the life trajectory of Houston’s youth for the better. Giving Tuesday encourages people to do good in their communities and beyond. This global movement will take place on December 1, 2020 this year. Please chip in TODAY and help me raise $1,000 for LEAD this week. Your support means so much to me. Let's do this for the kids!
