A group of LEADers gathered on Saturday to learn how to put their passion into action. Our day started with service, as we decorated bags for Kids Meals. We continued our tradition of reflecting on Rumi's words.
"You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness."
The poet's reminder set the tone for this week's theme, entrepreneurship. Scarlett Rodriguez and Marland Lowe, joined us and shared their journeys and success stories.
Scarlett "Coach Scar" Rodriguez is a personal coach who specializes in youth strength training and mentorship. She engaged our students and encouraged them to work hard. Additionally, she advised them to invest in themselves and inspire others,
"I think the definition of greatness is to inspire the people next to you."
Marland Lowe, owner of The Gamers Van, provided insight and wisdom. He reminded our LEADers to be authentic and stay true their personal values. Marland's words highlighted the importance of having a vision in order to be successful.
Our LEADers left inspired. We are excited to see their renewed spirit as they put in the work to make their dreams a reality.
