Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) is a renown philanthropy that has been funding research to overcome the barriers to success for more than 60 years. LEAD is honored that AECF saw the potential and power of our program. When they invested in LEAD, we were serving 80 youth. Currently, we serve more than 300 youth. This gracious foundation inspired us to scale and extend our reach to better serve and uplift the community. AECF's investment initiated the partnership between The University of Houston and LEAD, which has led to impactful research and life-changing work.

Since 1967, TSS has inspired curiosity, engagement, and leadership through transformative place-based education. Their unique learning approach is deeply rooted in the outdoors to enrich understanding of the world. LEAD and TSS have complimentary missions, and we are delighted to partner with a renown institution that has been making an impact for over 50 years. Our 8th grade student LEADers have the opportunity to engage in a week long culminating experience at TSS.
